Small Bathroom Remodel — Grants Pass

This very small bathroom had been left unfinished after a previous remodeling attempt stalled. It remained unusable for about a decade before Varanelli Construction was brought in to finish the room, rebuild the shower, and give the homeowner a functional bathroom again.

Starting Point

A bathroom that had been waiting years to be finished.

A former owner had started remodeling this room but never completed the work. By the time we began, the compact bathroom had been sitting unusable for roughly a decade. The existing sink and dated wall tile showed part of the original condition, while other portions of the room had already been opened up and left incomplete.

Wall + Shower Preparation

Getting the small room ready to become usable again.

We finished the wall preparation and rebuilt the shower area so the new surfaces could be installed cleanly. In a room this small, every transition matters because the shower, floor, plumbing and finished walls all meet within a very compact footprint.

Tile Work

New tile gave the bathroom a clean, bright foundation.

The bathroom floor was tiled with large marble-look tile, while the shower received a smaller-format floor tile and large-format wall tile. The materials helped the compact room feel cleaner and more finished without making the design overly busy.

Finished Result

A small bathroom returned to the homeowner as a finished, functional space.

The completed shower is bright, durable and practical, with large-format marble-look wall tile, a tiled shower floor, updated fixtures and a grab bar. After years of having an unusable bathroom, the homeowner was thrilled to have the space back and looking finished again.

Small Project, Big Difference

Not every remodel needs to be large to matter.

This project was modest in size, but restoring an unusable room gave the homeowner a meaningful part of the house back. Careful wall finishing, tile work and shower construction turned a long-stalled remodel into a bathroom that could finally be used and enjoyed.
